The guy wasnt happy with the UFC so hopefully he will be better off in this organization.

I'm not going to dislike the guy just because of the organization he decides to go to, thats like the Fedor thing, all the hate on him cause he didn't go to the UFC

I respect Fedor for sticking to his guns. I don't "like" it but I respect it. Crocop does not apply to that. he signed into the UFC, got blown out of the water & is now running basically. He came into the UFC, barely training & thought he'd just throw 6 head kicks & go fight Fedor again. He saw different & is now running to a place where he will get fed easy fights. Its shameful imo.

& that is coming from a guy who had Crocop as his desktop background for two years. I have been a Crocop disciple ever since his K1 days & have always supported him & stuck by him during the Randleman fight, the Fedor fight, & the Hunt fight. Always supporting him. But this, this is really sad. I cannot support this as a fan/

How many fights does he have left on his contract, 2, 3?

A big part of this could be the UFC not wanting to pay him that 350k per fight for him to finish his contract out. Who knows.

Well that was part of it according to the current reports. He has 3 fights left & was getting paid $350,000 a fight. No sane human being will make the claim that Crocop is worth that kind of coin right now. The UFC wanted to keep him that's why they were trying to re-negotiate. If they didn't want him they'd have just canned him. Dana White has always been a HUGE Crocop fan. You can tell that throughout the years whenever he talked about him. We do not know how much the UFC was going to offer him for a new contract.

I enjoy this forum because people can actually talk about MMA without stupid comments. Sherdog's HW section is going crazy because of the Dream organization & Cro Cop.

I just don't see the big deal out of cutting CC's salary down a notch or two. If CC had won all of his fights then he lost 2 fights I could see making a stink about it but he's 1-2 in the UFC & still wants to keep making $350,000 per fight plus bonuses? It's not like he was in in battles that had fight of the night or anything.

Well Crocop has said he plans to return to the UFC eventually after he gets his confidence back. Here's the post from the UG.

I just talked to DW & this is what he had to say:
The split was amicable & the terms were decided on in advance. Cro
Cops $350k (plus bonuses) contract had a clause in it stating that if
he lost two consecutive fights Zuffa had the right to void the existing
agreement & negotiate a new one.

CC never dreamed that he would be so overwhelmed by the level of
competition he has faced in the UFC so far & and the losses have
impacted him mentally.

The UFC did NOT cut Cro Cop from the roster nor did they threaten to
make him sit out until his contract expired if he didn't take the pay
cut deal.

Rather than negotiate a new contract with the UFC right now (& risk
racking up more losses), Cro Cop wants to get a couple of tune up
fights (& wins) in some of the smaller shows (no more tune up matches
for him in the UFC) in hopes of rebuilding his confidence & getting
himself back on track.

DW understood completely & supported Cro Cop in his decision. The
last thing DW wants to do is shell out a six-figure purse to a fighter
that isn't fighting worth a dayum. Even though it would have been lower
than the original figure, it would still be a waste of money &
resources.

Cro Cops ultimate goal is to win the UFC HW championship belt & DW
believes he still has the potential to accomplish that goal. CC's plan
when he signed with the UFC was, "I will become Champion after three
matches. I will need two & a half or three months off between each
match. I expect to hold the UFC belt by the Summer. Then I want Pride
Champion Fedor Emelianenko, Vs Me the UFC Heavyweight Champion on New
Years Eve."

That, & the whole situation, points to the fact that the people at Sherdog are retarded little monkeys. Ever since he has joined the UFC people have always talked about somefabricated bad blood between Dana & Crocop. No matter everything each of them has said shows otherwise, & never mind the fact that they've actually done conference calls together. Im really glad the UFC is supporting Crocop (if the report is true). It just makes me sad that Crocop has to resort to this.

lol it also makes me think of Lebens pre-silva rape comment, "go back to Japan where the competition is easier". Guess Crocop was listening. Cool

If this is the real reason he left it is a win win for dana & mirko.

Dana=Win Now this paints Ole Paycheck as the bad guy more for the simple fact dana can come out & say look I let fighters go when they approch me like a man Something Dana claims Paycheck didn't do

Mirko=win HE can go got his head back on right after GG put it out in the 28th row then maybe come back & prove himself

What he needs to do is get his ass out of his basement & go train with a camp somewhere that will push him, im sure he hasnt been training the way he used to back in the PRIDE days
